There’s always a great number of reasons for that. Many are very obvious and practical ones. But there’s one main thing you should think about – do you even want to succeed? Many people, even if just unconciously, don’t want to succeed. Sounds weird? Yes. But think about it for a second. Why people prefer
failure to success? Because
failure is often tried and usual,
it’s what people have got used to. And success would bring changes. And people are often afraid of changes. So they rather go on doing things the way they have used to do instead of doing something differently. It’s all in their mind. People don’t like changes!
And what’s more - the worst enemy of progress is frustration. Forget it! Don’t get frustrated when things are not going your way; keep the big picture in mind. That’s the best thing you can do. Think of great poker players. What makes them good? Skill. Yes. Patience. Yes. But one of the most important, while often overlooked, quality of great poker players – they are good losers. They can handle loss. They learn from it. It’s usual that you may experience a number of bad beats in a row, stupid players who thanks to luck are able to take your money. But if you get frustrated, you start doing stupid things yourself and now you really start to lose. Don’t get frustrated! Frustration IS the worst enemy of progress.
